FAQ - HYPE Projects
Can I delete a project?
Yes, portfolio managers can delete draft projects. Tenant admins can delete running and draft projects.
Who defines the process (project template)?
Process designers can define custom processes. The process designer role is assigned by the tenant administrator. Notice that a process designer in the context of HYPE Projects has not the same rights as a process designer of the ideation platform (HYPE Enterprise).
Who can create projects?
The portfolio managers, as defined in Hype Projects, and campaign or channel managers. Members of the user group IO Project Creator (Hype Ideation) can see the + New Projects item on the main menu, but still need to hold the role of a portfolio manager.
How to get portfolio manager rights?
A tenant admin can assign users to the portfolio manager role.
Can I still create concepts?
Yes. The component covers all use cases of existing HYPE Enterprise concepts and projects. You can define your own custom processes, such as concepts, business cases, ...
Can I manually change the project phase?
Yes, portfolio managers and tenant admins can change the project phase. Changing the project phase includes all actions a gatekeeper can do. You can
- change the phase (setting a running project back to draft is not allowed)
- change the status of the phase (elaboration or gate)
- postpone / continue the project
- cancel the project
- set the project to completed.
What are shared tasks (global fields, global tasks)?
Shared fields (tasks) can be used across process phases and even across projects.
